I'll start this post by letting you all know that this is the hardest thing I have ever tried to photograph. I took about 30 photos or more and these are the best I can offer.
I was with friends when I took these and I thought all was well and thought that I would have dozens of usable captures to show off and share. It didn't work out that way.
Here's why it's so hard:
1) The moon moves fast through the sky.
2) The dynamic range between the light areas and dark areas of the eclipse causes you to keep a constant eye on camera settings.
3) It was cold outside
4) Clouds kept getting in the way
