I was looking through some captures of birds on flickr and thought I would give it a try. I headed over to Hanna Park here in Jacksonville Florida with my amateur gear in hand. I went to the big lake in the center of the park and the first thing I saw was this pelican sitting on a post. I took several snaps of it at different angles and zooms. This one I have posted is my fav out of the group because of the background and the little dropplet of water on the beak. I will try to get more birding photos as I learn and get my "gear" ready for this type of photography. Enjoy!
